Expression and Response of Invitation (Materi SMP Kelas 8 K13).


     Pernahkah kalian mengundang seseorang ke rumah kalian? Atau mungkin diundang oleh teman kalian untuk datang ke rumahnya. Kalian pasti pernah mengalami salah satu situasi yang disebutkan tadi, karena manusia adalah makhluk sosial, jadi wajar saja ada yang mengundang kita dan kita diundang seseorang karena ada sebuah keperluan atau hanya sekedar menjaga silaturahmi. Undangan dalam bahasa inggris adalah invitation, yang berasal dari kata invite yang berarti undang. 
      Nah, Pada kesempatan kali ini saya akan membahas mengenai invitation verbal dan non verbal, atau undangan yang langsung dikatakan dari mulut seseorang dan undangan fisik. Yuk kita langsung saja simak materi Inviting others, namun sebelum itu yuk kita tonton dulu animasi cara mengundang seseorang dibawah ini ;

Handy Invites Intan to go to an Art Show
Handy  :  Hi, Intan. There will be a great show tonight. It’s about Art Show. Would you like to go to the show with me?
Intan  : Yes, I’d like it very much. When will you pick me up?
Handy   :  I’ll pick you at 7.00. Be ready, OK!
Intan   : Alright.

Dialog 2

Benny is very busy doing his homework. Paula, her friend, asks him to come to her party.
Paula   :  Hello, this is Sheila speaking. May I speak to Benny?
Benny       :  This is Benny speaking.
Paula  :  Oh, hi Benny. •         I would be very happy if you come to my house right now.
We’re having a great party.
Benny     :  I don’t think I can. I’m doing my homework. My parents won’t let me out before I finish my homework.
Paula  :  That’s alright.
Benny      :  I hope you enjoy your party. Bye.
Paula  :  Bye.
